The School Choice Process

What is it?

The School Choice Placement Process supports the New Haven Public Schools’ School Choice Program. Through an application process families are able to select from neighborhood, magnet and charter school options that best fit their interests and educational needs!  The magnet lottery is held once each year, usually at the end of March.  Prior to the lottery, applications become available in February and are due in March.  Applications can be received on-line or in person at the Magnet Office located at 54 Meadow Street, New Haven.  

 


We will host Open Houses at Strong 21st Century Communications Magnet on the following dates:

Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Snow Date:  March 1, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)

Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM (Snow Date:  March 2, 2016 from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM)
